    IDT ADAT Drivers in Win7

    Team,

I'm interested in using an Intel DP35DP mobo for my HTPC. I know this seems like an odd choice but the DP35DP has provision for ADAT (8 channels of 44khz) output through its optical Toslink port.

I have a high end ADAT DAC that I want to use for outboard D/A conversion. However, I'm concerned that there might be an IDT driver issue under win7 with the IDT ADAT drivers.

Is anyone using a DP35DP, Win7 OS and ADAT output successfully?

    Many thanks

I'm using a DP35DP motherboard but not the IDT integrated audio. This is an older "SigmaTel" audio chip (SigmaTel was purchased by IDT and renamed). What drivers are available are on the Intel site for this board. The Intel specs for this do not state what it has other than ADAT output from the S/PDIF Optical port.

I use mine with Windows 7 64 bit for my recording DAW (Sonar 8.5.3 PE) but use an external firewire connected Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 for recording I/O.

One of the features that drove me to this board was the T.I. firewire chipset.
