Are there any alternative Win 7 drivers for this card

Have bought a used Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi SB0770 card on eBay with no drivers or other support material. I have downloaded the PDF spec sheet from Creative.

I want to run it on Win 7 32 bit. Unfortunately it is not listed on the Creative website as having Win 7 support. Can anyone advise a software/driver package that will work.

A few extra details. The pc board is black. It has 5 jack inputs and an optical input and output. The card is quite wide at 10cm and 17cm long. It is a PCI slot fitting.

It looks similar to the pictures of the X-Fi Extreme Audio PCIe - would these drivers work?

OK done some more looking - it is an OEM card with a Win Vista compatability chip. Seems to be an extreme gamer clone but it does have optical i/o ports.

Might have to try Creatives own autoupdate app.

If there is a vista 32 bit driver you can use that if you install it in compatibility mode
    (right click installer>properties>compatibility>choose OS)

Thanks for the reply zz - the board came bare. As said it is OEM and standard practice is 'see the supplier'. Have emailed Creative to see what they advise if anything.

    Look like this one,

Meet the X-Fi SB0770 « No More Goat Soup

or is it the low profile card? From reading that you want to use this,

SB X-Fi Series Support Pack 2.0 (05/15/2009) - Creative Labs

and not anything to do with the Xtreme Audio.

We have seen a lot of Win 7 compatibility problems on the Dell forum with the Dell OEM SoundBlaster cards. With most of the SoundBlaster's it seems they must have Win 7 specific drivers as the Vista either does not work or work correctly.

Thanks stormy13 and fireberd. The card looks the same as the goatsoup review. Am downloading the support pack and will let you know how it goes. Creative gave no support at all.

EDIT UPDATE: All seems to be working. I had to install the Vista drivers from post by Zahl first then ran the support pack, selected the new card and its all happening.

Thanks again - think I'll have a quiet word with the eBay seller flogging OEM boards with no software/drivers.
