Same here: Audio services wouldn't start until the power service was started.

Only made an account to say I'm very grateful those that figured out the Windows Audio service depends on the power service. (whole reason I made this account was to say thank you)... so thank you. :)
(and yes.. MS should be ashamed of their error reporting - it should scan the current configuration of services and report back all potential causes but miserably fails to.)
O have the same problem described here, no audio, except that when i try to turn on the power service I get "Error 126 specified module could not be found" Does anybody know how to handle this extra step?
Thank you in advance for any help.
[QUOTE=kaymaccin;529234][QUOTE=BerggreenDK;209465]I've been searching for a solution too. I had disabled quite a few services myself and was starting to re-enable them again.
"When I came to the POWER-service (C:\Windows\system32\svchost.exe -k DcomLaunch) and re-enabled that one, suddently my onboard RealTek ACL888 turned on and enabled the ports as expected."
So I cannot find the svchost.exe. What does this mean?
Please help. Having the "No Audio Output Device is installed" problem.
Thanks.
Nat
Created an account to say: thank you. Had the same problem, fixed by restoring the Power service.
Sam Ting here.
Created an account JUST to say...
I went approx 3 yrs with no audio from my "main" machine.
With zero recollection as to what occurred way back then, I spent 20 mins TOTAL to fix it. POWER service!!
And that included slogging thru the TechNet forums and those "take these 23 steps" non-answers from the MS answerbots.
So, Thank you, from 2016.
