No Stereo Mix in Windows 7 RTM

I recently installed Windows 7 RTM 64 bit onto my Dell XPS/Dimension 430. I had no problems in Vista with enabling the stereo mix, I checked "show disabled devices," it popped up, I enabled it, and all was good. However after installing Windows 7 RTM, it doesn't even show up when I check the "show disabled devices" box.

I thought it might be a driver problem, but alas, Dell doesn't have anything for it. I've been searching these forums for quite a bit, and haven't found anything that would help me, so if anyone has any solutions, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time.

Do you know what sound card you have? Even if it's onboard, I'm sure that we can find the driver for you.

Provide your Dell service tag. This will enable someone to determine an exact solution.

    Dell Service tag is: C7M7WH1
When I went into system information to look at my sound card it's saying (High Definition Audio Device) I'm pretty sure I have a Sigmatel, but hopefully now that I've provided my service tag, someone can come up with a solution

    Hi and welcome to sevenforums

You can use the vista 64bit driver. It just needs to be installed in compatibility mode.

both the creative and the std driver can be found here http://support.dell.com/support/down...id=-1&impid=-1
