Finally gave up and bought a PCI sound card. LOL!! Sound works good!!!

Probably the best idea. From what I have seen those IDT audio chipsets can be problematic at the best of times, and with the limited support that I have seen for them, a sound card will provide less hassle.

Just for curiosity's sake, which sound card did you get?

I was able to get my Intel DG33TL motherboard's integrated sound to work. I purchased the used Intel DG33TL motherboard last year to replace a failed board. The Creative Labs Sound Blaster PCI512 (SB0150) sound card worked fine with Windows XP Home 32bit up until yesterday when I installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit. I couldn't get the PCI512 software to load, so removed that sound card, followed by turning on all audio features in BIOS. At this point Device manager showed all computer hardware working fine except for IDT Audio, Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter, and the Intel Management Engine Interface. Tired of messing around with Teredo Tunneling Adapter and Intel ME Interface in Device Manager, I disabled them both. Intending to quit fiddling with integrated sound, I used the Control Panel's Programs and Features to remove the IDT Audio driver. I missed the BIOS prompt, but decided to continue back to Windows. After logging in I was startled to hear the "Windows starting" tune from my speakers! The Device Manager's the sound controller simply reads "High Definition Audio Device."
