Congratulations! You just won!

I used to install Comodo Internet Security on my friends' and customers' computers, but sometimes the program wouldn't start correctly (and therefore not protecting the computer), and that was being an issue with non-computer savy users. Now, I install mse, and if there is any setting needed for a firewall, I do it from Windows Firewall.

Your way of working is highly reliable, and easier than dealing with people who are not savy with using computers and software. Using programs that are built in to the OS is definately the simplist way to go. The ordinary user only has to be protected, and does not need all the extras.
There is a test string that can be downloaded from the EICAR site that can be used to test anti virus software.
EICAR Test String:
Intended use ° EICAR - European Expert Group for IT-Security
By following the EICAR instructions you can make a file with their code that makes the virus scanner think it is a malicious software. It should give the warnings and deal with it as if it was such. I have used this test to make sure the scanner is working properly. This code is not a malicious code in any way. It is a simple string of ASCII characters that are used as a standard test under agreements.
