There is only one AV that I trust: Kaspersky! I use KIS 8 (not the beta)!

I've tried already Eset SS, Kis 7-8, Avira, Avast,Avg, but definitively Eset/Avira are the best for me

I have now tried Avast and Avira (both the free edition), but they both fail the last 2-3 tests on this official site:
eicar | THE ANTI-VIRUS OR ANTI-MALWARE TEST FILE

I don't think it looks too good for a viruskiller not being able to see a test virus that everybody knows of.

Have tried Kaspersky 2009 IS and Kaspersky 8 beta for Windows 7, but it cost some performance and boottime. Kaspersky could do all the tests though.

How abot ESET and the testsite?

F-Secure cleaned all the files, even compressed and zip in zip and cleaned it or rather deleted it... I think I'll stick with F-Secure ATM

I just ran that test with avast.. and it passed each test. Not sure what happened with your test Sven, but I had no problem.

Avast did not let you download any of the 8 files?

Your Avast installation is better than most others then. Here Avast let me download the last 3, but gives error when trying to unpack them. Which is too late IMO, as I don't want these files on my PC in the first place.
