Hmm try downloading the latest trial version of norton. Then put in the activation code you have for your disk.

I personally think the Norton 360 Beta is top notch. The background scans and clean-ups are a must have and since I had 360 2.0 b4 Windows 7 i had to go back to Norton. The only downside is that there was an activation problem and I had to do a bunch of research on the norton forums to find a solution but they just released a new version that fix'ed the activation problem and it automatically re-activates every 14 days.

I think of you can use McAfee beta, it's so good, stable and faster than other, and have a important plus, it's free until 31/Dec/2009.

    I use Norton Anti-virus Gamer Edition 2009 =P

Loving it, its nice looking, doesn't slow me down, and actually works opposed to what people seem to think.

Norton doesn't suck, which is what everyone thinks. Most of those people are those who used it back in the late 1990's when it did suck so they assume it will forever suck.

The only time I notice its there is when its telling me that its updating, or scanning. The rest of the time I completely forget about it. =P

With AVG restart time was 238s O_o. Removed it and restart time was 58 wow. Installed avira antivir and restart time is 88. Any better suggestion?

Holy snap! That's ridiculous, it almost sounds like a hardware problem. Maybe I'm spoiled but I restart in under 30 seconds. Try ESET Nod, I've never had any problems with it. And by all means, stay away from ANYthing Norton makes.
