    Virus Total Online Scan

To all you security people, this is probably old news, but I am excited. I just recently learned about this online virus scan, that uses multiple AntiVirus scan engines to check for any "bad guys". Using this free scan will avoid the problem of using one anti virus that may miss the problem. In addition,it helps avoid the question, "What is the best antivirus"?

You are right, but the good news is that I am all enthused now, and the feeling is not long gone. Thanks Corrine.

Rich, that is an excellent tool - and it is quite fast. I have used it many times. Sometimes you get the odd false positve by one of the scanners. But that is usually pretty obvious.

In that case, in the event you missed it, you may be interested in the Firefox add-on, VTzilla: VirusTotal - Free Online Virus, Malware and URL Scanner

There is also this Firefox extension, Team Cymru MHR 1.1, which also uses VirusTotal but doesn't add a toolbar.
