Trying to give my best advice, I fully believe that is the correct decision.
I really don't recommend running two anti-virus programs at the same (real) time. They are resource hogs (especially Avast) and will fight each other for your computer's resources. They may also fight each other's virus definitions.
If a person wants two download two anti-virus applications, that may be well and good, but you want to use only one application as your main anti-virus application and use the other as a backup.
Jacee, I think you misunderstood. I was saying MSE is greater than Avast, which is greater than NIS. I would never advocate running to AVs.
No AV is 100% effective
NIS2011 and Avast 5 are both good AVs, there is no "best" antivirus. Its just a matter of personal choice :)
hey i use NIS and MSE both.............simultaneously................and MSE is best............
but scaning is very slow in MSE.
But that is more Secure because is NIS Or any Norton product will have a Trust Level and when a Program is trusted it will skip that File when Scanning This is good but it can miss a Virus that could be Attached to the File that is Trusted
