7 all the way!

have you tried scanning your pc in safe mode? if not, try it with kaspersky, malwarebytes and other softwares you have installed. in my experience, if kaspersky or any program for that matter could not finish their thing in normal mode, doing it again in safe mode yields better chances.

I updated Kaspersky to the most recent version. While updating, Kaspersky detected some trojans that were quarantined. I am currently running a scan in safe mode.

I also attempted to see what I could do when I lose all my desktop icons, toolbar and menu bar. With ctrl+alt+delete, my background turns black with only the mouse arrow visible. Pressing esc gets me back to the windows background.

I just finish scanning with the latest version of Kaspersky, Malwarebytes and Hitman Pro in safe mode. It came up with nothing but tracking cookies. Note: While updating Kaspersky, it found some trojans Trojan HEUR but the program change its mind on 2 of the 8 infected files. The quarantined item file is empty.

Jacee: I think I only downloaded Firefox and Adobe.

Here's my HijackThis log if anyone wants to see it.

UPDATE: Downloaded AVG and it found 2 Trojan horses Generic2_c
