Windows 7: Trend Micro - New DELL Laptop

Hello Everyone!

I also plan on uninstalling Trend Micro (as recommended in VF) on a new Toshiba as soon as I (hopefully) get a clean bill of health on my other system - don't want two down at the same time. In the meantime, I have installed MBAM and ran a full scan last week right after setting up the computer. I tried running another scan today and Trend Micro blocked it. I added MBAM to the exceptions list the first time I ran it and MBAM is listed as an exception. I went to their site to no avail. Any ideas?

Thanks, in advance, for your input!

Use microsoft Security Essentials in lieu of Trend Micro.
You will have superior protection and very few problems
and we have to stop meeting like this.

Oh Rich, you hurt my feelings...

(obviously, I didn't subscribe to my own post as I didn't receive your response) - I'll be by sooner next time.

I do plan on going in that direction (on both computers) once the Vista gets a clean bill of health so I have one fully operational computer at a time (although, I noticed this morning that thread was closed in Vista - I thought Jacee wanted me to work with the system a bit to see how it is acting?). So far so good!

Ooooh, did I learn a lesson!

I wanted to run MBAM last night on the 7 and Trend Micro blocked it. It is showing that I added to the exclusions, yet it still blocked it. No real articles on their site about this (they keep sending me to Parental Controls) - what a surprise! Although, it makes me want to move fast on installing MSE when their first Hot Topic is 'the software keeps turning itself on & off'!

any suggestions on those settings? I know just install MSE!! I read the posts about uninstalling Trend Micro and trust you with the Removal Tool although high-anxiety creeping up as I have never used on either computers yet. Hope you'll be around.

McAfee or Trend Micro
My last AV has expired and as a temporary fix, I installed Trend Micro Titanium on my PC. I was wondering which would be the best paid version to go with - Trend Micro Titanium 2011 or McAfee 2011? Has anyone had any problems with these AV vendors/programs before? :geek:

Has anyone used Trend Micro Titanium?
After my Norton license is up, I am thinking about trying out the new Trend Micro Titanium 2011 Maximum Security product and was wondering if anyone has tried it/has had good luck with it. I haven't really heard too much about it. Thanks! :)

VMware server, Trend Micro
Ok, After talking to a mindless drone tech support agent with TM. I decided to come here, to the topic I always check first. I am currently running vmware server 2.0.2 The guest os is Server 2008 r2. I prefer to run in bridged mode, for the simple fact of the guest having its own IP. I...

I've got Trend running well on XP on the desktop I also have Win7 on. Looks like Trend not compatible with 7, it particularly crashes during any scan, but other times too. Changed most exe files to compatibilty to Vista SP3, but it didn't help. Trend haven't addressed Win7 yet, and can't...
