Instead try MSE. It's free and proven to be as good or better than most AV's ,free or retail.

    Hi, saf79.

I use MSE on one computer and ESET on another. I like both. So, if your preference is a licensed software, I think you'll like ESET.

    Ditto

Mse on one and Eset on the other. They find different things but both work.

    HaHA! I concur!

I always recommend trying them both for yourself and then choose. MSE is free so why not give it a whirl first before paying. I personally NOD 32.

I use NOD 32. It works really great for me (deleted viruses from my friendS USB driveS). haven't tried MSE yet so I won't be giving comparisons. I'm still searching for NOD 32 for 64bit though. Heard that there hasn't been any releases yet so I'm still searching for other's recommendations.

    Hello

I do not know why you are unable to find the 64bit version of Nod32.

I have been using this version since I installed Windows 7 x64.

You can find it by going to:

Best Free Antivirus Software Trial: Free Home, Business and Gaming Download from ESET

Click on 'Take me to my download', enter your Nod32 Username and Password and then select the 64bit version as shown below.

    Hope this helps.

NOD32 is a good AV. I have used ESET Smart Security 4 on my PC before and I was never infected.

But after a few months, I switched to MSE. It's much lighter than NOD.
