Panda Anti-virus causing problem

Hi Guys,
I have an issue which is pretty annoying, every time I scan my computer with Panda Global Protection 2010, it found around 500 spywares. If I scan again 2 minutes after, Panda anti-virus still detect around 400-500 spywares. I don't know why it's doing this and how to make sure it doesn't appear again. The weirdest thing is at the end of the scan process, it says that neither viruses nor malicious software were found on your computer but you can see the 527 spywares/cookies in the report! Can you please let me know if you have anb idea what's causing this?

I'll second what Richard said. I have yet to find anything with better integration and effectiveness than MSE. That said, is there any chance that your program is picking up AV definitions left by previous programs?

I suspect those are fake finds to show you, how effective the program works. Just follow Richards advice and see if MSE picks up any of those 400-500 issues.

It's funny because I've been using Panda AV for about 4-5 years and I never have this weird issue. The reason I don't really want to change AV is because I extended my AV plan for another 3 years which is quite expensive. One thing I know for sure is these bunch of issues showing on the Panda report are not in my computer because I followed the path of some of them and they have already been deleted so why showing these issues again when I'm doing a new fresh scan? The next thing I guess is the reach Panda directly!

Panda is known for giving false positives. If I were you, I'd run an online scanner just to be sure and then, like the others here have suggested, I'd think about switching products.

ok, I have a guess..
Actually I am more or less sure about it.
1. detections are cookies (not that ones you eat , tracking cookies!)
Panda (not an animal) probably just like most of the AVs detects and immediately removes it (most of the times), but it doesn't report it as malware/virus (because they are not).

2. detections are inside system restore points....

Hi,
I've contacted their support team but they didn't really helped. I played with the setting a bit and I deleted the last few reports that were saved, I've uninstalled the Panda AV and did a fresh install so it looks ok now. Anyway, thanks a lot for the input guys, I appreciated it!
