How do you remove bloodhound.pdf.8
Norton has quarantined it but I think it is replicating because there are more and more every week or so. Does anyone know how to get rid of this trojan?

It's supposedly a trojan that tries to do malicious things by the means of security holes in Adobe's Acrobat reader.
Symantec says Update your scan strings and run a full scan.
HERE you'll find a (huge) list of points in case you'd like to remove it manually:
But I would just give Malwarebytes a try (according to their website it's able to deal with bloodhound.

Okay I will try the malwarebytes. Will the free version do a full in-depth scan though?
yep..I believe the only difference is, that the free version doesn't do "on the go" scanning )or whatever you want to call it.

Okay thank you! I have it scanning now. Hopefully this will remove it.
Don't forget to use the updater so you have all the latest bug ID's.
They update it every day.
Yep I updated it. If this doesn't work is there a way I can just manually delete it? When Norton says it quarantined it, it tells me that it is in C:\Users\My Name\AppData\Local\Temp. And an example of one of the file names is DWH1C67.tmp
And DANG there's a lot, Norton keeps quarantining them.
hi........try Norton Power Eraser
alternatively you can try hitman pro
some info:
Bloodhound.PDF.8
Okay, I will try those now, thanks. This thing is multiplying like crazy! The temp folder is getting bigger and bigger filled with these .tmp files..
Norton Power Erase did not find any risks. I will try that hitman pro one now.
