    MSE and windows defender


    when i use microsoft security essential.....windows defender turned off......................

    is it possible to use MSE and windows defender simultenously.......

    yes its possible but I dont see any need/reason to use both of them simultaneously as MSE is better than Win Defender in all aspects.

    My understanding is when you install MSE it turns Windows Defender off. Not needed. Takes the place of Defender.

    Defender is preinstalled. When you download and install MSE then Defender is automatically turned off.

    MSE is sort of the updated newer version of Defender.
