EDIT--- misread thinking test was NIS 2009.

Is there a newer test with 2011?

If you have an extra computer you could download the test yourself and try it.. see how much of it NIS 2011 catches. I tried it on the current version of comodo and it caught every single sample

I do have an extra computer, but it was previously infected while being "protected" by Norton and since it has never been infected after I got rid of Norton and replaced it with Comodo freeware I intend on keeping it that way.

Perhaps after ridding yourself of Norton, you never stumbled upon a website/file/attachment with a significant problem/threat/otherwise. You might have had the exact same experience with nothing at all on your machine.

I have 3 teenagers in my house..judging by the typical firewall and defense+ logs on their computers, I would say it takes about 20 minutes for one of them to find a malicious website.

Maxxwire isn't your child. Three people use our computers and haven't come across malicious software in many years (except on purpose).

Oh, for goodness sake, all I was trying to say is there are tons of malicious sites out there. I mentioned my kids because they seem to have a talent for finding them. They never seem to figure out that it's a bad idea to follow links from one page to the next at random. Unless a person has developed a habit of only going to a few sites they on a regular basis, chances are they will encounter something bogus very quickly. Pretty sad situation, but that's what the internet has come to.

Exactly, no real malware was used and even some of the methods used in the tests are not used by real malware.

Not all products are tested fully:
