    Avast! or Comodo?


    Which antivirus is more effective? Avast! antivirus home or Comodo antivirus?

    Skip both and go with MSE.

    Check this out. MSE is light on resources (as is Avira), but most folks here like MSE.

    Guess I'll choose MSE.

    One question: Do you turn off Windows Defender or do u leave it on. I never use Windows Defender.

    I am not really in a position to pass comment on Comodo AV as i have never used it, but here is a pic of Avast use of resources

    MSE will disable defender when you install :)

    If you're looking a light weight AV that uses less RAM and CPU, go for Avast. It uses less than 8-10 MB RAM and very less CPU usage.

    Your system specs say that you have 8gb of memory ... why would you be concerned with how much recourses the AV uses ????

    I posted a similar thing in another thread. It always amazes me that people are concerned about this. If it takes a few MB of RAM for my AV to do it's job then it's welcome to it.

    @Lemur...you should read this "Fanboism" - What exactly does that mean? as it applies to your post here
