    Weird flash every so often

Once in maybe an hour or so there is a small fast flash in the lower right corner of the screen. About 3/4" high and about 2 1/2" wide.

Been doing this for about a month. Avira, Malwarebytes and HiJackThis show nothing that seems suspicious.

I am wondering if it is a virus that is taking screen shots.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

What Av's are you running? Sounds like some kind of warning message that's not staying on.

Hey I thought this Aswell once or twice, No virus here and I use Avira premium 10, I came to the conclusion It was just Avira's little popup window I was missing when It notify's you that an update just took place?

    Edit, Spelling.

That is most likely what it is. Mine (Avira Premium Suite) opens and reports, so I click the the X and it goes away.

It's not Avira's update window because I can see that and it stays for a couple of seconds before disappearing. Or one can close it at will.

The flash I am referring to is so fast one can not read it and it's very small.
I checked with Avira support and they don't see any problems reported by the Avira software.
