    Is windefender.exe the Windows Defender?

I have a file that showsup under AVG as a Trojan. It is the only virus checker that sees it as a threat. It's path is C:\Users\<myaccount>\Apps Data\Roaming\windefender\windefender.exe and AVG will not delete it as necessary. Yet I cannot find Registry keys that info on it lists. Could this be the file for Windows Defender antivirus program?

Afaik MsMpEng.exe and MSASCui.exe are associated with MS' antivirus stuff. The first page of google results for "windefender.exe" show malware (a trojan, as your AVG found).

    Get rid of it.

This is a malicious program, remove it with Malwarebytes

Malwarebytes did not remove it. Adaware did. Thank you all for the information!

Download SuperAntiSpyware, update and run as Administratorb right clicking on the file WINDEFENDER.EXE - Trojan.Agent/Gen-Falcomp | SUPERAntiSpyware

See what windefender.exe is: WinDefender Removal Tool. Remove WinDefender Now
(Don't use this removal tool, just read where this infection is located!)

I can recommend winpatrol to stop any nasties trying to add themselves to startup.
