    I got the 2.0 64bit from Airbot's link.
    Finally.

It doesn't seem to auto update I tried that also.

Thank you. I notice they've added Network inspection to it.

       Information

Microsoft Security Essentials 2.0.657.0 is available. This is now in a finalized version. (not a beta)

    microsoft.com/security_essentials
    microsoft.com/downloads
Does anyone know if this will come down the pipe like an update or does one have to use the download link Airbot provided?

    I just DL'ed and it stayed 1.0.2498.0
My chosen method was to uninstall the beta version and re-install, and new version is same as Airbot has listed.

Thats not correct, MSE2 has 3 processes.

    MSMPENG.EXE 62320k
    MSSECES.EXE 4524k
    NISSRV.EXE 1788k

Its still a lean product though.

Whats up with their Beta program - 2nd time a 'beta' has gone RTW and those of us in the 'on-going' beta are left behind.

So far I've not found anywhere that there is a 'New Beta' starting up.. Beta version should not update to RTW I wouldn't think - so any recommendations as to how to proceed ?

I tried to upgrade the way I did the last time. I used the triangle in the upper right corner and selected upgrade which opens the "Upgrade Wizard" but it says my version is the latest: 1.0.2498.0. The support page still calls it "Beta": Beta | Microsoft Security Essentials
