    Maybe, but you don't get to use or take advantage of using flash player and flash based content/sites, i.e youtube videos, etc.

    It would have been better to keep your flash players up to date at all times rather than block it completely. I wouldn't use that feature for protection and judging from the SpywareBlaster's description of the tool, it's designed to block if you are annoyed by the flash contents rather than intending for protection. Afterall there is no whitelist and blacklist for configuration

    If you are running Firefox, you can add something called NoScript, this will automatically stop most scripts and flash on a page, however you'll be presented with the option to click on them and launch them. It has whitelist and blacklist configurations.

    But also, as Bobby72 stated, make sure to keep your flash player up to date with the latest patches.
