Firefox 3.6.12 highjacked
I'm running Win7 Pro. My copy of Firefox 3.6.12 has been highjacked with a redirection virus. Tried Malware remover, but it didn't find it. Anyone have a solution? Thanks.

Run a full scan with Malwarebytes, or, do a system restore to a point before you were infected...
Which malware remover did you try? Malwarebytes' has always done well for me, MSE I haven't used enough to really give a good enough opinion of. Also, you might want to try a scan in Safe Mode as well. Make sure you update your malware definitions before booting into Safe Mode, or boot in to Safe Mode with Networking.
instead of using only 1 scane engine use instead many engine but in one 1 product,
and that will 100% help you, and the software is Hitman Pro,
good luck
Please download GooredFix from one of the locations below and save it to your Desktop

- Ensure all Firefox windows are closed.
- To run the tool, double-click it (XP), or right-click and select Run As Administrator (Vista and Windows7).
- When prompted to run the scan, click Yes.
- GooredFix will check for infections, and then a log will appear. Please post the contents of that log in your next reply (it can also be found on your desktop, called GooredFix.txt).
Will run in X64 with FF running in 32bit
You might want to consider adding NoScript to your Firefox. This won't stop everything, but when you go to a web page, most of the scripts will be disabled and require your permission to run. That will stop most of the "fly by" exploits hidden on pages.
Been trying out the new IE8. Man, what a terrible browser.
