yes but detections rates ain't that close to kapersky thought it has decent detection rates ...
MSE + KIS Togethe Yes or Not ?
I have Avira installed for on demand scanning too. Did not install the realtime protection.
Never trust a single AV. Use this to check files 10mb and under.

Or Jotti will do up to 15mb
Jotti's malware scan
I was just messing around on my main OS w/ McAfee installed...
Looking at that image, I notice that McAfee uses a very significant amount of system memory. The last nine processes in view are all for McAfee. This might make me reconsider removing McAfee and switching to MSE. In total, all of those processes add up to 117,108 KB (roughly 114.4 MB) of memory usage. Just thought it was interesting to note how much memory McAfee uses. Don't get me wrong though, I do like it and I have not had much of a problem with it, but it does use up around 2X as much memory as MSE and almost 4X as much memory as ESet. Note that this was during a scan however. Although for me it seems that McAfee picks the most inconvienent times to run a scan..
That's probably because he has so much RAM. When you have tons of free RAM available, your Anti-virus will use all the RAM that is available to make scans faster.
