    Morro/MSE not for Europe

Check this:Microsoft Security Essentials beta to be capped at 75,000, kicks off today | All about Microsoft | ZDNet.com

"Versions: The MSE beta will be available in 32- and 64-bit flavors. It will be available in English and Brazilian Portuguese on June 23 and simplified Chinese some time later this year. Update: The beta is restricted by country. The beta site says: “This beta is available only to customers in the United States, Israel (English only), People’s Republic of China (Simplified Chinese only) and Brazil (Brazilian Portuguese only).”

MS are limiting this to 75,000 free betas of their new security suite but I won't be able to get it.

    Or will I?

Yes we found that out on day of release. You can still get it via your connect.microsoft.com account and fill in the questionnaire.

Australia isn't mentioned but I was able to get it....via my Connect Account.
I am going to run it on my other half's XP Laptop as the Nod32 License is about to end.

Yep, you will either need to sign up for one or you might be able to use your live id.

You have to click the 'Downloads' link on the left. It said 'none available' to me but it worked.
