    As for a free AV I would recommend Avast5/MSE, but if your want more protection try out trial versions of major vendors and see which one suites you best, I use KIS

    Here are the most popular ones:

    Norton AV/IS/360
    Kaspersky IS/AV/Pure
    Avast Free/Pro/IS
    AVG
    Avira
    Eset

    I'm running MSE, Sandboxie and Malwarebytes. All free and provide different levels of protection, but overlap well.

My NIS 2012 is going to expire on the 31st, and I've not been planning to install a new AntiVirus, as I feel I'm under control and that all I'll require is the Norton toolbar which has recently been made available to download. If not, I'll be trying BitDefender, as I've heard it has the best...

Is Microsoft Security Essentials + MalwareBytes Anti-Malware a good A/V solution? What about Norton 360 or Kaspersky? Whether i pay or not isn't a factor. I would like an AV with a good UI and as high detection and real-time protection rates as possible.
