Cool. Since I have a lifetime pro version I won, I guess I'll have to wait for it to be released. A Guy

I like it, vast improvements. The definitions download is faster and appear to be about 2/3 the size then decompress once downloaded.
Scans are remarkably faster & Memory, Registry & Files are all scanned at the same time in stead of independently.
Over all seems much lighter on my system resources.

Anyone know anything about the introduced "SAS core service" ??

I like this feature, being able to set your CPU usage

I always have that in the Pro version, as it is running always in background. For the free you can set it to manual, or look for a setting that starts SAS with windows, and uncheck that. A Guy

Oh ok, thanks Bill. I always have it set not to run at start up when i install, but this time the service has appeared which i never had before in the free version.
I run update & scan this morning with it enabled then did it again this afternoon with the service stopped (which did not seem to have any ill effect).

Not overly worried about it i will leave it set to auto for the time being

SUPERAntiSpyware 5.0 Beta Available For Download

Sorry if this is a double post

I have been using it for a bit and it seems to work with Windows 7 SP1 x64 and x32. It is a big improvement over 4.x. For example. A full scan takes only about 20 minutes. You can schedule multiple scans. It also has what they call a "Critical Point Scan".

For a list of the enhancements and to download you can click on the link below.

Worth a test drive in my opinion as it appears to be compatible with Windows 7 SP1 x32 and x64 and is easy to uninstall.

Disclaimer: I have no connection financial or otherwise to SAS or any personnel working at SAS.

WAY better than 4.x and faster. I have a lifetime subscription and I can say that it is worth the 20 bucks or so I paid for it. I totally recommend it.
