yeah, that's definitely true about norton :/
I don't use any antivirus personally (apart from the odd MSE scan), but i maintain a vista machine that the owner insisted on putting norton on. all it does is shove stuff in your face, demand more money and hardly protect it. TBH, most viruses ar less hassle than the antivirus programs (i joke. kinda.)
If you are a sensible user and dont go to 'dodgy' sites, either use nothing or MSE.
