Thanks.

If I purchase this (2010 NIS) the key will renew my NIS 2011 for another 12 month?

AV Comparatives latest detection report might be worth a look before you decide what to do?

+1.

Some products are better for some than others. I like MSE, because I don't do much risky at all with my computer and basic protection is all that I need. For others, these security suites are very good investments for the way people use their computers.

It sounds like the OP is happy with Norton and wants to stick with it. It's past few versions have been pretty darn solid. I don't think we need to attempt to talk that person out of it.

@OP: You might want to call Norton and let them know that Amazon is cheaper and you are going to go that route. They might be able to make you a deal over the phone and just renew your product on the spot without you having to do much of anything at your end.

Contacted Norton and they would not work with me. Said it would cost $69 to renew on line. I told them I could get if from Amazon for $35 and they said buy it there. What a bunch of crap,100% higher in price to exiting customers. Whats wrong with this picture? I guess the are betting the uninformed will just renew for their outrageous price. Rant over.

I would just get it from Amazon, and activate the key on your account a few days before the current one expires.

But, renewing your sub as a existing customer should be a bit cheaper than outright buying the whole package. At least mine was.

Not cheap enough to match Amazons current price though. But its usually about $10 or so cheaper to renew than buy full price.

They want $69 to renew. I am about ready to dump them on principal only. What a rip off considering I can buy it new for $35 shipped.

Hi, I was just wanting to see if anyone has had any problems with Norton and Windows 7. I recently installed build 7100 on my mother's machine and she insisted that Norton was installed. I eventually relented and installed it, but it only seems to cause problems... Anyone else??
