    File permissions

I am using Win7 Home Premium (OEM, so I just have to stick with that) and I have one .dll file that doesn't copy over from a CD stating that I do no have sufficient permissions.

    My question is:

How do I FORCE windows to copy that file ignoring any blocks (more like disabling them until it's being moved). Also I from looking through the system I couldn't find that, but if there is a way to disable such restrictions altogether for the future, I would appreciate if someone pointed to the right direction as something like the OS requesting special permissions to move a simple dll file even when I am an admin is beyond unreasonable.

    UAC is disabled.

I surely hope I will not have to resort to my Linux live CD every time I need to copy over a single file as I still need Windows to run some of the software.

The following article may help (not the sfc bit but the end of the article where it shows you how to gain full control via the elevated command prompt) to use the elevated command prompt right click command prompt on the start menu and choose run as administrator.

How to use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows Vista or on Windows 7

    Hope this helps :)

sorry re-read your post, if the file wont copy because the file permissions on the CD are restricting you, try making an image of the disk then using an ISO editor to change those file permissions in an image.
