# Of Secrets Stored ? what the heck is this ?

"chrome.exe - System Error
The maximun number of secrets that may be stored in a
single system has been exceeded. The length and number of
secrets is limited to satisfy United States State Department
export restrictions."

This started up yesterday morning. I have never seen a message like this before and it just sounds totally weird. I am not to sure what steps to take to deal with this so any ideas or opinions would be a great help. Thanks

I'd bet that it's malware, probably from a malicious video codec that you were told you needed but really didn't need because it was bogus in the first place.

I suggest you run your anti-virus if you haven't already, download Malwarebytes : Free anti-malware, anti-virus and spyware removal download and SuperAntiSpyware (SUPERAntiSpyware.com | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware!) and scan for infections. If they don't find anything, download ComboFix.

I also recommend Microsoft Security Essentials an as anti-virus. (www.microsoft.com/security_essentials)

It wouldn't be encryption. If you google the phrases, each instance refers to malware on a user's computer. I've worked with government-sanctioned/required encryption and it would NEVER say anything like this, especially when trying to launch a browser.

Mr. Lyman is correct. The computer is infected.

We will begin with ComboFix.exe. Please visit this webpage for download links, and instructions for running the tool:

A guide and tutorial on using ComboFix

* Ensure you have disabled all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.

Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply for further review.

A word of warning:
Neither I nor sUBs are responsible for any damage you may cause to your machine by running ComboFix on your own.
This tool is not a toy and not for everyday use.
ComboFix SHOULD NOT be used without the supervision of a trained helper

My computer has been acting really funny lately. For starters when ever I move/make a new folder I ether have to wait 10 seconds for it to show that I did it or I have to press F5. This happens after updating to Dell A10 (I think) BIOS version. My hard drive also makes a lot of funny noises (so im...
