I have read all the post and IMHO some very good choices were made. I would like to mention that I have used MAM free on 4 of my computers and my Intel dealer in town has used MAM on many infected computers brought to them and I nor the Intel dealer have ever had MAM conflict with any thing on any of the computers. If anybody does have a problem with MAM I'm sure their is help here to fix the conflict. I wish you son happy computing.

Since my son's computer is the first computer I ever dealt with with Windows 7 (my desktop has Vista Home Premium), I did some research regarding firewall protection and discovered that it's just part of the Windows system, which is ABOUT TIME they did... Lol...
There has been a firewall in Windows since XP.

True, I don't know what I was thinking when I made that statement because my Vista Home Premium came with Windows Defender, but I totally forgot about it since I deactivated it when I installed Nortons Security Suite. Thanks.

A conflict would most likely not happen with the free on demand scan MBAM. If there is going to be a conflict, it would most likely happen with the realtime PRO version of MBAM.
