Yeah it is. Deal with it fairly frequently at work, "Something popped up and I clicked accept...Said I had a virus". If I had a dime every time I heard this from an end user I'd be eating dime soup.

Or they don't know how it happened , like saying i didn't click on anything, that I remember doing i was just looking at a web page so you say OK. I even had a couple of the clients not using any AV which makes the infection i think much worse, I have had no luck removing this infection on one system it just keep popping up over the course of 1 year and finally we upgraded to Windows 7 and the issuers were over.

Hit my wife's system today with a new name Malware Security System this time did a system restore back 5 days and the problem was solved but this one i think this one is worse than any other could not do anything on system until in safe mode she run's Windows 7 ultimate 32 bit.
