I give up, what's the secret
I tried to install the "WordPerfect Office X5" package and during the installation I got the error shown in the attached.
So I changed user to the built-in-administrator account and tried again. Got the same error.
So I took ownership of the C:\ProgramData tree and tried again. got the same error.
So I created the user name "everyone" in folder C:\ProgramData and gave it full privileges. Tried to install again. Got the same error.
Noted that the error message tree had folders ..\Corel\WordPerect Office X5 in the program folder. These folders were not there before installation started, s I figure that the install program put them there as part of the install but did not give them full privilege.
So I created folders ..\Corel\WordPerect Office X5 in folder \Programs took owner ship of them and add the user name "everyone' with full privileges and tried install again. Same error message.
Am I mixing up privilege and permission? If so how do I grant "permission" and how about inheritance?
