    Windows Defender & Others

    Hiya

I am setting up my new lappy and planning what spyware/antivirus to use.

I use Avira Antivir personal (free version) and have for a long time and am really happy with it.

I am thinking about installing Spybot and Malwarebytes as well. My question is firstly, does this sound good to you guys and secondly should I be running Windows Defender real time as well? I have read that running all these at the same time can cause conflicts.

I feel you can have too much going on at the same time so my lappy wont know its arse from its head lol.

Would be greatful for any advise, thanks

*Asking for an opinion may result in confusion as many differing ones will be given.

    Please consider -
    * Microsoft Security Essentials.
It is free. A lot of people use & recommend it here
    www.microsoft.com/security/pc-security/mse.aspx

    * I would also recommend the free version of SuperAntiSpyWare.
SUPERAntiSpyware.com | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware!

    * SpywareBlaster { free} runs happily in the background offering great protection.
    Read about it -
SpywareBlaster® | Prevent spyware and malware. Free download.

    * Remember to include in your protection a Firewall too.

    * IMHO Defender can be overlooked.

    * Your new lappy will probably come preinstalled with an Anti Virus.
Should you NOT wish to use it then it needs to be uninstalled { via the Manufacturers uninstall tool} before downloading the AV of your own choice.
