    BitLocker - Please help

    I'm in the process of fixing crap that Acronis TrueImage broke while uninstalling. Apparently their developers forgot to make their application revert changes after the uninstall finishes.

    Anyway, I'm having a weird issue. Took 2-3 hours last night to get Backup & Restore working being that Acronis broke that as well. Now that I have it working, I'm having another issue. I can't click on "Turn on" BitLocker. Trust me, my desktop is more than able to handle BitLocker. I've seen the option to turn it on awhile ago and now I don't. I'm confused.

    Please, if anyone can help me. I'm sick of this software's damages. Almost causes for a complete wipe & reload.

    Navigate to this registry key and see if it looks like mine and that you have permissions to the key. Also see if the following values are the same in the right pane if not modify them to be so...

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D9EF8727-CAC2-4e60-809E-86F80A666C91}

    Go also into your services and see if Bitlocker is set to manual. I know your frustration acronis isn't very soft on the system sort of speak.

    Tried that while I was troubleshooting the process. I ended up needing to reformat. Thanks for replying though.
