Let it run, I suspected you might have malware on that machine!

    YontooIEClient.dll a variant of Win32/Adware.Yontoo

    Uh, oh.... that's not good....
I restarted the PC, got the splash screen with the 4 balls coming together, and then nothing. Just a black screen. For 8 minutes.. Will shut off and try safe mode.

Uh, oh... more bad news... Got a BSOD

STOP: c0000135 The program can't start because %hs is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem

And I thought Windows 7 was supposed to be MORE helpful......

Startup Repair wanted to do a Restore. I said no and let it continue. 15 minutes and counting. I hate Windows 7.

Guess I'm on my own again... Startup Repaier took me into HP Repair which also wanted to do a restore. I guess I'm doing a restore.

Hang in their boweasel. It takes a second to get infected and could take hours to get clean again. Windows 7 did not infect your computer.

My level of familiarity with anti-virus programs is limited. In my sphere of reference, you run MalwareBytes, get rid of the offenders, reboot, and you're good to go. I assumed that after running MB, Super Anti-Spyware, and the ESET any nasty bits were long gone. And my complaint about Windows 7 is based more on hype than anything else. I don't find it even a little bit more helpful than Windows XP.

%hs is missing. Reinstall it. Now that's what I call an OS really helping me.

I've restored to the Java 27 update. I dunno if it restores it to before or after.

I shoulda just moved the pictures and documents to an EXHD and reinstalled the OS.

Or taken it to the back yard and given it a taste of a couple barrels worth of number 2 lead shot.

Many times when you get rid of all the bad things it doesn't put those things the virus changed to the way Windows 7 want them.
    Good by for tonight.
