Remove All Security Features from Windows 7

Although not really designed for such an environment, have you looked into using the Win 7 thin client? You can install it on a non-networked computer, however, there are other "features" which may negate its use.

Another alternative which is certainly worth investigating is using a Linux variant. Even 5 years ago, Linux versions were rather primitive, however, nowadays there are some very good linuix versions. In fact, as much a fan as I am of Win 7, I would be installing a linux in your situation.

The program that you have that works great on XP, 98, 98 can't that same program be changed to work with Windows 7. The odds of changing Windows 7 to work with a very old program are slim to none. Yes I understand their would be a cost to have a new program created. To the best of my knowledge Microsoft does not create new operating system to work with 30 year old programs. I'm sure their are people that could write you a program that would work with the new Windows 7.

I see one, the use of INI files in the program folder. You have two options. Install the program OUTSIDE the /programs(x86) folder OR after installing, change the permissions on the program folder appropriately.

You can turn off the firewall or punch a hole in it for your software.

If you are doing dozens or hundreds of these things you can set up one machine exactly the way you want it, then sysprep it and basically clone it to multiple hard drives so you don;t have to set everything up on each machine.

So... IS there something specific? We can help on a question by question basis, but something as overly broad as "Turn all security off" is not going to get you the answers you need since that is simply not possible.

I did not mention anything about Registry Booster. I do not recommend any 3rd party program that does anything to the registry. I'm as sure as I can be that a program can be wrote to satisfy the OP's needs using Windows 7 but then again I'm not a program creator. Their are probably a few members on this forum with the proper information and desire could do it.
