Personally, I find COMODO Firewall to be super awesome, love it. Try it out, it's free and is just, awesome.
    +1 Agree.

Also Windows 7 Firewall is Not the best Firewall for Windows 7, Because it doesnt do squat when various software tries to call home ect, I for 1 like to be in controll of which data is leaving my machine.....Like when I Safety Remove Hardware, Windows tries to call out, why it needs to connect to somewhere on the net when removing hardware is beyond me? So I block it. Like what is it trying to do? Broadcast info about every external hardware connected to my machine? I dont get it?

You only say that because you do not know how to configure it.
You want outbound protection? Then turn it on.

Comparing Windows Firewall to Comodo Firewall, is like comparing a Ford tempo to a Ferrari.

And when behind a router, Comodo is a worthless POS doing absolutely nothing because the router has already blocked everything.

    ?doing absolutely nothing?

Your router is doing what exactly? Blocking what? Incoming Traffic? I know I'm not going to sit and add 100 entries to my router to block outgoing traffic, I would have to sit and watch Wireshark then try to know the difference to build my list, and who wants to go through all that trouble....I like the fact that I get a popup everytime somthing tries to connect to the net, so I can either create a rule, or block it, Period.

Comodo will never be worthless regardless of what you think, also windows firewall does not have even a 10th of the features I want.

I'm not. Just how I talk. If you want fluffy bunnies and rainbows talk to someone else.

And you do not create a block list, you create a white list that allows. But it doesn't matter, outbound blocking in an illusion. Nothing is stopping BadApplication from using GoodApplication that you have allowed though your firewall from making the connection on its behalf. Or BadApplication from turning off your firewall or putting in an exception for itself.

THIS Is why I use D+ in comodo also, and if Bad app tries to even run it gets sandboxed, checked in the cloud, than destroyed......Before it even has a chance.

Try Comodo Internet Security Premium which is totally free and very powerful. Other than firewall, it has Defense+, Antivirus, and Sandbox feature.

The only difference between the free version and paid version is technical support. If you need tech support, Buy the professional version. Otherwise the free version should do the job.

This is what I am using at present on my Windows 7 x64 Home Premium and Windows XP Professional on two of my laptops after using Kaspersky, Norton Internet Security, Zone Alarm Security Suite (all paid versions).

Comodo is available for both x86 and x64 windows platforms.

This is my personal choice and I recommend it. Others may recommed different softwares. Please read reviews of the choices available and make up your mind.

+1 @ rraod, I'm also using the entire suite, my screen from post #14 is one from the web, it doesn't have the Antivirus on the screenshot.......I know I should have recommended the suite not just the firewall, thanks!
