Strange Program Icon in Task Bar

This morning my wife was saying her computer was acting strangely and then this icon showed up out of nowhere.

It looks vaguely familiar but cant place it. Wife says she has never seen it before.

Some other strange symptoms, pop up stating something about a virus but I did not see what it said. Her screen turned sideways 90 degrees for no reason. I was able to correct with the graphics panel but all this jas me wondering if she got a virus or of she got a bad system update or something.

We have Kaspersky and I'm running a full scan now.

    Can anyone assist?

    Hi Paxdad,

Please download, install, update and run a FULL scan using FREE Malwarebytes.

Post the results here when its done, and we can help you.

That icon is not strange. If you have a dell, its part of a dell laptop program call quickset.

Thanks for the info! That is what I wanted to know. Since I didn't find any viruses I am hoping I'm good to go.

No problem. It only pops up when you're adjusting the brightness of the screen or volume.
