No, those scan won't harm you computer, and try Jacee's link too, it gets right to the program.
It's my opinion, but this Best Free Firewall Software for Download: Personal Firewall by ZoneAlarm is maybe the best stand-alone firewall and it's free. Having more than one can be as bad as to AVs running.

    Sorry for being late:

@DBone: back to CCleaner; for everyday cleaning, what should be checked if I want to use it everyday or every other day?

Others may differ, but here are my CCleaner settings, plus I check everything under the Applications tab. Many people recommend checking nothing under Advanced.

Hey, question: I want to run CCleaner again, I haven't done another scan of this since the first time I did it back then, but I was wondering when I do another scan now, what to check in its selection. Thanks

When you open CCleaner it already has default "safe" selections. You can start the scan with those default selections and it will provide a list of issues it picks for deletion. Personally, I only let it do it's scans, and then using the list of issues it provides I do a manual deletion, one by one, of only the stuff I know should be deleted. Hope that helps.

Wellll, I still use the setting I posted and run CCleaner a few times daily. You may want to check the cookies and have it save one from, say, Sevenforums.com and other sites you have auto login enabled.
