not bad at all to be honest. I've been in the information security field for a while now so maybe I'm used to limited accounts... using an alternate account for elevation privileges.
so you're used to it :O!... meh I can't live with that hehe... but still good protection overall

Still the same setup since over the year now:

    Realtime:
    DefenseWall Personal Firewall v3

    On-demand:
    ShadowProtect Desktop (image backup)
    SyncBack Free (data backup)
Dr-Web CureIt! (once per few months scan)

Thats it! Very fast and reliable setup :)

There is no point for extra browser addons or antimalware tools. More apps to update - just choose one app and the built in Firewall + UAC. As for the browser use Opera.
exactly what I avoid, dont like all in one apps as they are bloated.

Microsoft Security Essentials as one choice is perfect and not bloated.

I, personally, use Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 along-side with PCTools ThreatFire.

I received my Kaspersky license via the Windows 7 Launch Party, and ThreatFire is a free "addon" for security software.

    ThreatFire Adaption Scale:

    Kaspersky Trial Downloads:
    Code:

    PCTools ThreatFire:
    Code:
