Good decision. Whilst the scanning malware scanning engine in both the free and paid versions are exactly the same, the paid version offers:

    - Flash scanning
    - User configurable automatic updates
    - User configurable scheduled scanning
    - Malicious IP blocker

    I schedule as follows:

    1. Update malware database at reboot and perform a flash scan
    2. Update malware database hourly - the databases are optimised so they update very quickly
    3. Schedule quick scanning hourly
    4. Schedule full scan weekly

Let us know if you need help getting it configured, but its pretty straightforward.

Malwarebytes Pro plays well with all my other realtime security including SAS Pro. A worthy purchase. A Guy

Well Lay back it is good but KIS doesn't like it (full version) I can tell you from experience but as the others have said it's a top little app, and I think anyone who hasn't got it should at least the free one.

Actually I might just drop mine back in gain now KIS is up to 2012 and see if it still disagrees with it as it has been a long time since I did it If it does I am getting onto Kaspersky to ask why.

    Hi,

I wonder if your settings in Kaspersky aren't a little too sensitive given that it also has issues with online Secunia as you mentioned a few days ago.

Try turning OFF the heuristics for a few minutes and see if it still complains about Malwarebytes and Secunia.

Alternatively, if you haven't already tried this, setup some scanning exclusions for Malwarebytes in Kaspersky using this:

Does anyone run as a standard user (not administrator) to stop most of the 3% to 5% of new viruses that will not be detectable by typical antivirus programs?

I use MSE and Windows 7 firewall. I tested using the trial full version and everything worked well. MAM allows personal checks which I like, no credit cards or Palpal for me.

I use to use Webroot, used it for almost a year. Went to Best Buy and bought the c/d for the up coming year. Installed the new Webroot and registered it and everything worked fine for about a week. Then it kept telling me that my trail period was over. I though I must of make a mistake. Remove Webroot completely and installed again and registered it again and a week later, you guessed it. Removed it again. Broke the c/d in lots of little pieces and enjoyed doing it. I have been using MSE every seance.
