Windows Firewall, UAC, Avast! Pro (paid for)....

I'm a firm believer that the UAC does more than just protect you from web threats. Just imagine somehow deleting a file that is needed to get your system booted up, nightmare..... Not that I would, 15 years working with PC's has made me 'virtually' immune to screw ups

I say virtually because in the 'Virtual' world I created in my head i can do no wrong LOL

Guys I have a software firewall built-in to my router (netgear wg614). It has packet filtering.

Is this firewall all I need? Or should I leave the Norton Internet Security 2009 firewall on my PC turned on? :)

Edit: I will of course leave the other features (antivirus etc... tuned on, just need advice on the firewall).

    Thanks,

    Blessed One.

If the router firewall is capable enough to do what Norton/Windows firewall does then I would leave it as it is.

I would, however, read up on the 'exact' capabilities of the router just for piece of mind more than anything.

IMO, you're good with MSE + your router + Firewall.
