accidentally deleted path in environment variables

    accidentally deleted path in environment variables


    i was editing the path in environment variables after installing jdk-6.0 when i accidentally deleted it...is there a way to recover it? or if not , can somebody tell me what was the default variable path was that? i'm using windows 7 starter...and a toshiba laptop.....please i really need help here.. thanks in advanced....

    You could try a system restore to an earlier time. Not sure if that restores environment variables or not but it's worth a try.

    i already did sir but it did not work.....my problem now is that some .dll is missing and some programs are not properly working....

    the default path in environment variables, I was editing it to add another path for the jdk 1.6.... and unfortunately it was been deleted accidentally and I don't know how to get it back.... i need help...

    Here is the Path on my Win 7 system: PATH=C:\Windows\system32;C:\Windows;C:\Windows\System32\Wbem;C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v 1.0\;C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Shared

    You could use it as starting point.

    May I ask one more thing sir? do the path in the system variable of a desktop computer and a laptop are the same?

    these .dll's you say you are missing? is this stopping you from the system restore? is that what you meant? that may be a larger problem if true.
