Your harddrive doesn't only have a bitlocker password but bitlocker is also communicating with TPM chip on mainbord. And the mainboard has been swapped so you hav a new TPM chip with other secret key.

Trusted Platform Module - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Didn't they check to see if it was bitlocker protected?
Do you have a backup? I assume you make backups prior to send your machine away

you have TPM an PIN (password) protection. You better remove TPM protection prior to swapping mainboard!

    Code:
manage-bde –protectors –delete %systemdrive% -type tpm

i didn.t knew they will swap my Motherboard. i just wanted to protect my photos and documents. they don.t say to me nothing about it. Probably i have a back up but i don.t know how to find it. control panel?
So, i can/t break whit some program the pass? or to do something to acces my data?
And the Motherboard it.s already changed, now i don.t need to remove Tpm, or if i remove tpm i remove the pass too?

Bitlocker in combination with TPM is very secure protection. It is uncrackable as far as i know.
Did you secure your systempartition or data partition?

You can add PIN or TPM protection or both
You can delete PIN or TPM protection or both

But of course that's only possible if you have access to the drive (and you can't because of TPM problem)
Never activate TPM security in bitlocker. Activate it only if you want to prevent stealing of your harddiskdata.

i put pass on data partition, not on sistem. and i just click right on the Data partition, i put pass and i wait for encrypting.
i have pass also when my windows is starting up and that pass is working now. no problems whit it.
Thank you very much. so i think i lose all my data...

No, if you have Bitlocker and enter an incorrect password at the TPM prompt, it should then prompt you for your recovery key (48 character key) that was generated when the machine was bitlockered (you were asked where you wanted to save it when you started the bitlocker process - you need that key now, so hopefully you saved it). If you enter that correctly, you can then get into the partition without issue. Once you're in, you can suspend bitlocker from the control panel, reset and re-initialize the TPM, and create a new password (and then re-initialize bitlocker with a new password and recovery key, which you should keep securely somewhere else, not on that machine). The machine will then work, protected, with the new motherboard and password you set.

hm...so what are the steps for this? where i must enter?
i read something in Windows help and support :

To turn off or temporarily suspend BitLocker
Click to open BitLocker Drive Encryption.

    Do one of the following:

To temporarily suspend BitLocker, click Suspend Protection, and then click Yes.

To turn off BitLocker and decrypt the drive, click Turn Off BitLocker, and then click Decrypt Drive.

Yes, that is correct. Once you boot into Windows with your bitlocker recovery key, you can suspend protection and reboot (this will allow you to re-enable protection afterwards without decrypting and re-encrypting).

p.s. They change my motherboard for my laptop but the problem still persists! ...and that is my laptop freez video and audio 2-3 seconds and after it.s working normal, and freeze again and so on. i don.t know why they don.t changed the hard drive, probably that is the problem. Take care
