As you can see flogit many people use many programs. 9999.9% tell you in all honesty why they do or do not like a product. You must trust the programs for yourself. I trust the programs I have mentioned. MSE, MAM and SAS.

Thanks all. Been looking at the malwarebytes site to purchase the pro version for £16.99p.Just a thought if I go ahead and make an order what do I get,Is it a user ID plus a register code or do then send me the software on a disc through the post?.Another item on the web page is a backup disc for £5.99p,What would that disc be for?.Does one really need that disc or just the malwarebytes pro software.
    Does the price sound okay?

It's not a disk. If I remember correctly you register the free version and it unlocks the features of PRO. I didn't go for the backup.

That looks like a download and Pro Key. You don't need a CD as you can always download a new free version from Malwarebytes : Free anti-malware, anti-virus and spyware removal download and use your key to unlock it.

    How is your Google-fu?

If you have some talent, you can probably find a discount code that might shave a few pounds off the price.

Yep. All you need is the key. It will unlock the magical features of the Free version.

I have been using MWBAM along with Avast! for a couple of years now and have been very pleased with the duo. I would recommend going for the pro version if you've got the spare change, because of the real-time protection. Otherwise, the free version is fine for routine scans.

Here is how I have my Scheduler setup.

    malwarebytes-mbam-1.png

This checks for updates every hour and if it finds an update then it runs a Flash Scan (very short scan of important areas) I have seen up to 9 updates in one day.

I then have it do a Quick Scan once a week.
