Windows 7 clean reinstall but virus(?) remains-- help

    well I changed the keyboard and since then NO problems.
    I am amazed----thanks so much for everyone's support and time on this - a crucial issue for me.
    I am embarrassed at missing such a simple solution. I always tell others to start with the simple things.
    The keyboard I was using was on old one I had used for various generations of pc.
    Now am re-building my pc software n data structure from external hard drive, n laptop.
    well I learnt a lot from this - good if we learn from these things.

    Yeah banksy just goes to show you one sometimes goes looking for something very tech when it is really something low tech and easily dealt with and Bear well done thought it had to be a hardware thingy of some sort myself.
