How to reset local admin password Win 7 X64

Have tried the various ways to reset the local admin password all with no success.
Offline Password Changer does not detect the Windows directory, returns error 12 (no Hirens password app works)
ERD will not let me use the locksmith tool to reset password.

Does it have anything to do with Bitlocker encryption?
How to go about resetting the password without a reinstall?

Your best bet is to search Google or Windows own help files for more information on Bitlocker.

I have the password for bitlocker that is not the issue.
I need to reset admin one but cannot turn off bitlocker encryption unless I can login as admin so you see my problem. ERD will not work on an encrypted drive.

Unfortunately, as zigzag states, we can't help you bypass your admin password as it's against forum rules.

We understand but site rules prohibits why we dont recommend it it. Besides which I believe Bitlocker is the source of the problem. That

Its encrypted. Trying to break it may leave him with scrambled HD contents because of bit locker.
