    Didn't I say that a clean install is the best way out at the very beginning of this thread.

    infinite apologies WANCHOO. you are right. you did mentioned it first but i was in a hurry then as i suddenly got an urgent call from my HQ regarding a sample that must be sent to Fiji on tomorrow's flight, so i just picked the closest one. apologies again and hope this never happens again.

    Sorry i am getting old and missed were he said he tried all those programs and if they did not take the AV out or the program then a clean install is what is next. I have dealt with many versions of this virus and it is so embedded in the registry that you have to remove all entries of it and remove the right ones to get completely rid of this what i call take over your system program.
